Molly Kate Braham

We welcomed Molly Kate Braham into the world on August 15, 2015, at 9:57 am - weighing in at 7 pounds and 19 inches long.  She’s a little slice of sweetness, and we are so happy that she’s here. 

One Year Later: Before & After Photos

Like I said in my last post, I’ve been nesting like a nut during my third trimester.  Thankfully, Matt has indulged most of my requests and willingly (err…most of the time) given up several evenings and weekends to paint like a madman (along with much help from both of our extended families).  Since every room has needed new ceiling, trim, and wall paint, this has been no small undertaking!  While our basement remains largely untouched, along with our upstairs bathrooms (scary stuff, I tell ya – you’ll notice the upper bathrooms are not shown…), I am extremely happy with our house progress.  Once again, I’ve been amazed at how fresh paint brightens and cleans a room instantly! 

In addition to paint, we’ve Craigslisted and thrifted the crud out of things, which is right up my alley.  I find so much satisfaction in repurposing perfectly good furniture that others simply have no need for any longer.  Along the way, we’ve also sold several items that weren’t really serving our family well, which helped to offset the cost of some “new to us” pieces. 

I love a good “before & after” photo, and while these photos are nothing fancy (hello iPhone pictures!), they at least give you an idea of what’s changed since we moved into this house last summer of 2014.  Without further ado…

Lots of ‘em… But let’s just say we want to enjoy the baby stage for awhile before jumping into any other major projects.  And although I’d love to add more details about what I still itch to do in each space, along with some specifics about how we decided to furnish each space (at least for now), a nap is calling my name.  Hopefully our baby girl will grace your screen next time I update our blog.  Peace!
